Trooper involved shooting
On Saturday, December 2, at approximately 2:10 a.m., the Choctaw County, Oklahoma Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a disturbance at Tommy’s Bar in Fort Towson, Oklahoma.
Choctaw County is located in southeastern Oklahoma.
A Choctaw County deputy and trooper responded and encountered one of the subjects involved in the disturbance in his vehicle in the parking lot.
The suspect had a weapon and shots were exchanged. The suspect was struck. The deputy and trooper began life-saving measures and called for EMS.
The suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No law enforcement officers were injured. The shooting is being investigated by OHP Troop Z with assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
