Authorities investigating stabbing in Monett

Police are asking the public for help after a 31-year-old male was stabbed in the stomach.

Authorities at Barry County Emergency Services 911 received a call Thursday evening after which the Monett Police Department, Barry/Lawrence County Ambulance and Monett Fire Department all responded.

The man was found with a single stab wound to the stomach.

That person was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Police officers are attempting to identify a suspect in that incident.
