Man from Joplin injured in Thursday accident on Highway 43

A man from Joplin was injured in a one-car accident around 1:50 p.m. Thursday afternoon on Missouri Route 43 just north of Joplin.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a southbound 2010 Chrysler Town and Country driven by 29-year-old Garrett J. Gregory of Joplin traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck the end of a guardrail.

The vehicle then came to a final rest facing south.

Gregory was transported to a Joplin hospital with serious injuries.
