MO State Highway Patrol stepping up traffic enforcement this weekend
Many Missouri drivers will hit the road this weekend to return home from the Thanksgiving holiday.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Clark Parrott says every available trooper will be patrolling the roads this weekend.
“Before you leave, make sure you take a big old dose of patience. Don’t be afraid to let somebody out and, you know, understand that this is the season of Thanksgiving,” says Parrott. “You never know what somebody next to you is going through. That’s where taking that big dose of patience in giving a little bit of grace is going to come in.”
The National Weather Service is predicting a light snow mix late Saturday into Sunday along and north of I-70.
It’s also expected to be a heavy, wet snow, but little to no accumulations are expected due to ground temperatures being too warm.
