Five injured in crash south of Jasper Friday morning
Five people were hurt, four suffered serious injuries, after a two-vehicle crash on Route M (Base Line Blvd), near I-49, three miles south of Jasper.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened around 8:42 am Friday when a Subaru Legacy failed to yield to a Chevy Traverse.
The driver of the Subaru, 23-year-old Trenton D. Smith, of Carl Junction, suffered minor injuries.
There were four people from Springfield in the Chevy, including a 13-year-old boy who was flown to a Springfield hospital.
55-year-old Ricky B. Robinson, 52-year-old Cheryl L. Robinson and 18-year-old Rylee M. Robinson all suffered serious injures and were taken to a Joplin hospital.
