Man arrested for stealing air fresheners

Money and jewelry are items often targeted by thieves…but air fresheners? 

A man in St. Louis County is charged with stealing more than 12-hundred dollars’ worth of air fresheners.

Police in University City responded to a break-in at an abandoned warehouse Thursday night, according to a St. Louis TV station. 

When officers arrived, they found the suspect standing next to a shopping cart filled with air fresheners. 

Several boxes, also filled with air fresheners, were also found stacked outside the building. 

The suspect initially fled further into the warehouse but later surrendered.
