Road work narrows lanes on 4th St. between Porter Ave. and Picher Ave.

Joplin’s 4th Street will have narrowed lanes between Porter Ave. and Picher Ave. starting today, Monday, November 20.

Travel will still be possible in both directions, however drivers are urged to use extreme caution in the work area.

The construction is for Missouri American Water’s contractor to work on water lines below the south side of 4th Street.

As work progresses, the narrowed lanes will move to the east.

Weather may delay work progress.
