OHP issues friendly reminder in honor of “Crash Responder Safety Week”

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol issues friendly reminder in honor of Crash Responder Safety Week. The OHP posted to their Facebook page:

This week is Crash Responder Safety Week #CRSW and we’re reminding everyone to protect those who protect you. This picture is of a patrol unit that was struck on the side of the road back in 2021. Our troopers work roadway crashes every day with our partners, including firefighters, emergency medical services, other law enforcement, towing and recovery, and public works.

We want to see a reduction in the number of traffic incidents involving responders who suffer injuries or lose their lives in the line of duty. It’s the law in Oklahoma – slow down and/or move over for any flashing lights on the side of the road. It’s a matter of life and death.
