House fire takes life of man in Aurora

An elderly man has died after a house fire Sunday night in Aurora.

The Aurora and Marionville Police responded to a blaze around 11 p.m.

An elderly man was found on the floor of the house. Efforts to give him artificial resuscitation were not successful.

The man has been identified as 80-year old William Medlin.

Investigators say the fire started in the electrical components in the home’s heating system.
