3 MoDOT workers hospitalized after hit-and-run

Three Mo-DOT contract workers have been hospitalized after a driver plowed through a work zone and sped off. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report states it happened in Ferguson in St. Louis County just before 10:30 Monday night. 

A white Ford Focus drove through a closed construction zone and struck the three workers. 

The Patrol says the driver tried to flee but was caught shortly afterward and arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. 

One Mo-Dot worker is listed in serious condition while the other two are listed in moderate condition.
