Joplin City Council to meet Monday night
The Joplin City Council meets Monday night.
The Council will consider a contract with Olsson Studio to pay $828,000 for engineering services for a proposed Splash Park project in Joplin’s Ewert Park.
Another council measure concerns a request for tax abatement to a building in the Crossroads Industrial Park at 8125 E. 26th Street.
The taxes would be abated through the Joplin Area Enhanced Enterprise Zone Program.
Council members will consider a funding agreement with Downtown Joplin Alliance for the purpose of protecting, rehabilitating, and redeveloping endangered properties within downtown Joplin.
The Council is also expected to go into closed session.
The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in 5th Floor Council Chambers in City Hall at 602 S. Main.
