Account set up for former MSSU student injured in Springfield accident
On the night of October 14th, an Uber driven by 28-year-old Glen Westerhouse, a former MSSU student – and current Missouri State University student – was stopped at an intersection in Springfield when it was hit from the rear by a Ford Taurus.
The Taurus was going an estimated 117 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
A passenger in the back seat of the Uber, 26-year-old Domingues Buenestro, died of his injuries.
Now the Springfield News-Leader reports the driver of the Taurus, Andrew Irizarry Sierra, is being charged with manslaughter.
Westerhouse is recovering from moderate injuries but is having trouble paying day to day expenses.
A Go Fund Me account has been set up in his behalf.
