Upgrading Elementary School crosswalks 

The University Art Association, Kappa Pi Art Honorary Society, and other student groups are combining their talents to paint crosswalk murals at each of the Pittsburg elementary schools.

This service-learning opportunity, led by Department of Art faculty, allows students to learn about design and execution of larger scale works, but also share their talents with the community while brightening the entrance to the schools and making crosswalks more visible.

The project started on Sunday with painting at Meadowlark Elementary. 

Painting will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following dates:
