Columbia cannabis store accused of anti-labor practices

A central Missouri cannabis store is in hot water with the feds. 

The National Labor Relations Board is accusing Shangri La Dispensary of violating labor laws while fighting against efforts by its employees to unionize earlier this year. 

Those efforts include firing some workers and threatening others with termination for trying to organize, according to United Food and Commercial Workers Local 655. 

Meanwhile, Shangri La Dispensary sued the union for holding two strikes back in May without proper notification ahead of time, but later withdrew the lawsuits. 

Shangri La operates two marijuana dispensaries in Columbia and one in Jefferson City and has four more stories in Ohio.
