Hawley says he no longer supports Right to Work

Missouri U-S Senator Josh Hawley no longer supports right to work.

When a bill to make Missouri a right-to-work state was vetoed 8 years ago and Republican lawmakers failed to override the veto, Hawley tweeted that it was “time for an end to union-backed candidates in the GOP.”

But Hawley told Newstalk KZRG last week that his stance has changed:

“The people in Missouri repealed it. I mean, we got to vote on it – not the legislature, but we voted on it and we voted to repeal it. So, I respect that decision and I certainly wouldn't support any federal legislation to impose right to work on anybody.”

What Missouri voters rejected was another right-to-work bill that was initially approved by former governor Eric Greitens.
