2023 Joplin Writers’ Faire

The Joplin Writers’ Faire returns to the Joplin Public Library this weekend.

This year’s event features 41 local and regional authors, making it the biggest Writers’ Faire yet, with fiction, nonfiction, graphic novel, investigative reporting, fantasy, local history, children’s literature, and others among the forms and genres represented.

This free, all-ages public event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 7th at Joplin Public Library at 1901 E. 20th in Joplin.

During the event attendees will have the opportunity to visit with authors at their booths, purchase their publications, have their books signed, as well as a chance to win door prizes or peruse the used book sale offerings at the Friends of the Joplin Public Library booth.

Established in 2017, the Joplin Writers’ Faire aims to connect all sorts of writers to their existing and potentially new audiences while encouraging community support of local and regional writers, as well as to help aspiring authors learn how to get started. Joplin Writers’ Faire is a collaboration between Joplin Public Library and Post Art Library. The 2023 premier event sponsor is Friends of the Joplin Public Library.
