Bright Futures Joplin given American Water Charitable Foundation grant

Large contribution was made Wednesday morning to help Joplin school students. 

 According to American Water Senior Communications  Manager, Christie Barnhart:

 “Grants go to organizations that make a fundamental difference in our communities throughout the state.  And today we are awarding Bright Futures Joplin with a State Strategic Grant in the amount of five thousand dollars.”

 How will the money be used?  Bright Futures Joplin’s Amanda Stone says:

 “We rely entirely on community support and grants like this.  With food, our budget for snack packs is about sixty thousand dollars.  Funds like this are what is going to help us to continue to be able to buy food to support that need.”
