Check presentation planned for Strategic Grant Recipient
JOPLIN, Mo. (September 26, 2023) – The American Water Charitable Foundation (AWCF), a 501(c)(3) organization established by American Water, the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, and Missouri American Water are proud to announce Bright Futures Joplin as a recipient of a 2023 State Strategic Impact Grant in the amount of $5000.
“This generous gift will go far in providing weekend food, clothing and school supplies to Joplin Schools’ students living in economic deprivation,” said Amanda Stone, coordinator for Bright Futures Joplin. “We are so very grateful to American Water for helping us support our students in need.”
The AWCF’s State Strategic Impact grant program was launched in 2022 to help support high-impact projects and initiatives throughout American Water’s regulated and regulated-like footprint. State Strategic Impact grants are part of AWCF’s Keep Communities Flowing grant program, focused on three pillars of giving: Water, People and Communities.
A check presentation will be held on Wednesday, September 27 at 10:30 am at the Joplin Schools Administration Building located on 825 Pearl Avenue.
