Mayor of Wentzville talks about UAW strike
The mayor of Wentzville in eastern Missouri is closely monitoring the ongoing strike against the G-M auto plant in his city.
Nick Guccione says the striking workers are very frustrated with their company:
“I went out to the gates and talked to the workers, and the mood of the workers are frustration, upset – because of record profits that the companies are bringing in and they took concessions and kind of bailed the company out when they were in trouble and they’re not getting, you know, reciprocated for it.”
Meanwhile, the United Auto Workers expanded their strike on Friday, staging walkouts at parts and distribution centers owned by GM and Stellantis, but not Ford.
