The search is on for the Missouri Governor’s Mansion Christmas tree

Christmas will soon be in the air!

The search is on for the perfect Christmas tree to be on display at the Missouri Governor’s Mansion. 

The Missouri Department of Conservation is leading the annual hunt for the tree to put on the mansion lawn. 

The tree must be about 30 to 40 feet tall, fully branched on all sides and easily accessible by large equipment. 

The preferred species is eastern red cedar, Norway spruce, or white pine. 

The tree must be near the end of its life or may need to be removed for other reasons. 

All entries must be submitted to the Missouri Department of Conservation by October 10.
