Four teens from Commerce injured in drunken driving accident

OHP says car rolled up to eight times.

People in Commerce, Oklahoma are trying to come to terms with an alcohol-related motor vehicle accident that injured four high school students, two seriously.

The car in which the teens were riding was involved in a crash a little after 3 a.m. Saturday about two miles north of the Commerce City limits.

The car in which they were riding reportedly left South 5600 Road and rolled up to eight times.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol tells NewsTalk KZRG that the 17-year-old driver was intoxicated at the time of crash.

The driver and a 15-year-old passenger were listed in serious condition in hospitals in Joplin following the accident.

Two other passengers, one 16 and the other 18-year-old were treated and released.
