Sunday afternoon accident on Highway 43 injures three

An accident on MO 43, about 8 miles north of Oronogo early Sunday afternoon injured three people.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the wreck occurred when a westbound 2007 Chevy 2500 driven by 25-year-old Trista J. Myers of Severy, Kansas failed to yield and pulled into the path of a southbound 2012 Ford Taurus driven by 72-year-old Judy L. Miller of Joplin.

Myers and Miller both suffered moderate injuries as did 75-year-old Frank J. Fogg of Joplin, a passenger in Miller’s car.

The three were taken to Joplin hospitals for treatment.
