Breaking News: Two killed in Joplin motorcycle crash

Two men on motorcycles were killed in Joplin Saturday night.

The men were reportedly fleeing from Joplin Police officers at the time of the accident.

Joplin Police tell NewsTalk KZRG a chase began when the riders were observed riding in what is reported to have been a dangerous manner in the area of 15th and Main.

Police reportedly had suspended the chase prior to the crash.

The crash, involving three motorcycles, occurred in the area of C and North Main.

Two riders were reported to have died at the scene.

Another rider was taken into custody.

The Joplin Police Department’s Major Crash Team is investigating the accident.
