Man ejected from tractor, killed during mowing job

A mowing accident on Teal Road about 2 miles south of Stark City took  the life of a man from Fairview, Missouri Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a southbound 1984 John Deere 650 Tractor driven by 56-year-old Douglas L. Reed of Fairview overturned while traveling up an embankment during a mowing job at the side of the road.

Reed was ejected from the tractor.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:51 p.m. by Newton County Coroner Dale Owen.
