Oklahoma State Highway Patrol rear ended
An Oklahoma State Highway Patrol Officer was rear ended by a distracted driver on Monday, August 28th.
Following the crash the Oklahoma State Highway Patrol issued the following statement:
Trooper Nathan Battershell #864 was rear ended this afternoon on I-40 as he was escorting a commercial vehicle off the interstate to a safe location for an inspection. Thankfully, Trooper Battershell’s injuries were not serious and he was treated at the hospital and released. The driver of the pickup truck refused treatment at the scene and was cited for inattentive driving. Trooper Battershell had his rear deck lights on at the time of the crash.
