Arkansas man killed in Saturday morning I-44 crash

A man from Springdale, Arkansas, was killed in a single-vehicle accident on I-44 in Joplin Saturday morning.

Joplin Police say 32-year-old Ryan Malone was traveling at a high rate of speed when his Lamborghini Huracan Spyder went off the roadway, struck a guard rail, went down through a ditch, went over the I-44 Main Street on-ramp, and traveled down an embankment.

Malone was later pronounced deceased from injuries he sustained in the crash. A female passenger was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently stable with moderate injuries.
