Delaware County Sheriff’s office dealing with “spoof caller”

The Delaware County Oklahoma  Sheriff’s office says it is dealing with a “spoof caller” pretending to be Delaware County Sheriff James Beck.

Sheriff Beck’s office says a woman was called from the actual office number but the caller was not the sheriff and the number had been spoofed.

The imposter told the woman she had only 24 hours to do certain things or she would be arrested.

Sheriff Beck says it’s definitely a scam and, if you receive such a call, hang up and contact the Sheriff’s office.
