State Fair to feature Missouri Farmers Care Food Drive Tuesday

Statistics show 1 in 7 Missouri children regularly face hunger

As a part of Missouri Farmers Care Foundation’s Drive to Feed Kids, over 800 FFA members and agricultural leaders will join together at the Missouri State Fair on Tuesday, August 15, for the Missouri FFA Day of Service.

Together volunteers will pack over 150,000 meals, to feed Missouri children and families in need.

This Tuesday will also feature the  Missouri Farmers Care Food Drive.

The Drive kicks off at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Mohler Assembly Hall, Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia.

Missouri Farmers Care Foundation, in partnership with ADM, Brownfield Ag News, Missouri State Fair, Missouri Department of Agriculture, and Missouri FFA Association, have banded together for a seventh year to address the alarming statistic that 1 in 7 Missouri children regularly face hunger.

Through meal-packing events, gifted food products, hog processing, and monetary donations, the agriculture community provides support to Feeding Missouri, the state’s network of food banks. For more information visit www.MOFarmersCare.com/Drive.
