Ribbon-cutting planned for new EV charging stations in Neosho
Neosho, Missouri – Representatives from Liberty, the City of Neosho, and the Neosho Chamber of Commerce will gather for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new EV charging station at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, at the Neosho Farmers Market, 114 N. Jefferson St., Neosho, Missouri.
The three Dual Port ChargePoint stations – which can accommodate up to six vehicles – represent the first installation in Liberty’s Ready Charge program, which was launched in October 2022. The program supports the deployment of smart Level-2 and direct-current fast charging infrastructure at publicly accessible sites.
Installing the chargers at the farmers market allows for easy access to and from Interstate 49 and the downtown area. They support any plug-in electric vehicle and, as part of the largest national network of charging stations, include 24/7 driver support and monitoring to ensure the station is operational whenever drivers need it.
The ribbon-cutting will include remarks from Tim Wilson, Liberty President, Electric; Robin McAlester, Liberty Senior Manager of Transportation Electrification; David Kennedy, Neosho City Manager; and Lauri Lyerla, CEO of the Neosho Chamber of Commerce.
