Governor Parson releases schedule for August 14-18
(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) – In coming days, Governor Mike Parson will hold ceremonial bill signings celebrating the expansion and improvement plans for I-70 and attend various events, including the Governor’s Wine Reception and the Governor’s Ham Breakfast at the 2023 Missouri State Fair.
On Monday, August 14, Governor Parson will start the day with a ceremonial signing of House Bill (HB) 4, which provides funding for the expansion of Interstate 70 to six lanes across the state, at the Eastbound Weigh Station in Foristell. He will then participate in a Agriculture Listening Session with Congressman Mark Alford at the Missouri State Fair. Governor Parson will end the day at the Missouri Sheriff’s Association Conference in Osage Beach, where he will ceremonially sign Senate Bill (SB) 186 and (HB) 5.
On Tuesday, August 15, Governor Parson will participate in ceremonial bill signings of (HB) 4 in Kansas City and Columbia as part of his I-70 Tour. He will end the day at Mizzou’s Faurot Field with a ceremonial signing of (HB) 417, Name, Image, and Likeness Rights for College Athletes.
On Wednesday, August 16, Governor Parson will attend the Governor’s Wine Reception at the Missouri State Fair.
On Thursday, August 17, Governor Parson will speak at the Governor’s Ham Breakfast and make several stops at exhibits throughout the Missouri State Fair including the Dairy Barn, Draft Horse Barn, Pork Place, Sheep/Goat Pavilion, Swine Pavilion, and Equipment Row.
Governor Parson will also attend the SRX Championship finale at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland.
