One dead, one arrested after shooting in southeast Kansas overnight
A homicide is being investigated in Crawford County, Kansas.
The Sheriff’s Office says just after midnight Monday, they received a 911 call from a woman who reported that her grandfather had just shot her brother in the town of McCune.
Life saving measures were attempted, but the victim did not survive his injuries.
The victim was identified as 28-year-old lan Fox, of Lexington, Kentucky.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail.
The suspect was identified as 70-year-old John Fox, of McCune.
The victim will be transported to Kansas City for autopsy. The investigation is ongoing. John Fox is presumed innocent unless and until the allegations against him are proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
