Man shot in Delaware County after argument over a dog
In Delaware County, Oklahoma on Friday, a man was reportedly killed following an argument over a dog.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s office says 46-year-old Derek Almond, an Arkansas resident, went to the home of a 67-year-old Robert Rider near Grand Lake.
Rider had earlier shot at a dog owned by a friend of Almond after the dog attacked him.
Both men were armed. A confrontation ensued and Almond was fatally shot.
No charges have yet been filed.
The investigation is ongoing.
