Californian piloting a boat that crashed into lake house charged with B.W.I.
The man from California who was operating a boat that ran aground and crashed into a home on the Lake of the Ozarks just before midnight on July 22nd is now charged with seven counts of Boating While Intoxicated Resulting in Physical Injury.
47-year-old Adam Ramirez of Huntington Beach California reportedly had a point 185 percent blood alcohol reading following the crash – twice the legal limit to drive.
No one was killed but the crash but eight people were injured after they were thrown from the boat.
Court documents show that two of the people on board estimated the boat was going 50 or 60 miles per hour on the lake in an area approved for a maximum of 30 miles per hour.
