Jazz featured in Connect2Culture’s JOMO Jammin’ Music Festival finale
Joplin, Missouri – Connect2Culture (C2C) will host the final performance of its JOMO Jammin’ Music Festival this Saturday, July 29th, at the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex at 212 West 7th Street in Joplin.
The finale of this summer music festival will feature jazz from two local/regional groups.
Due to extremely high temperatures predicted on Saturday, the following performance will be held in C2C’s home theatre, the Beshore Performance Hall inside the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex.
Doors open for the Saturday, July 29 open at 6 p.m. The performance begins at 7 p.m.
Jomo Jazz, the four state’s leading jazz instrumental group, has been entertaining audiences since 2013. Comprised of five talented artists, each member’s unique sound and energy combines to provide a catalyst for the band’s explosive performances. From soulful originals to Big Band era classics, Jomo Jazz can perform a variety of songs to keep audiences entertained for hours! The NWA Jazz & More Orchestra plays great “standard” jazz, including tunes from the Great American Songbook, as well as modern hits and classic songs from the past 50 years.
The artists of NWA Jazz & More Orchestra pride themselves in their versatility and their professional musicianship. From rock and roll to swing and everything else in between, NWA Jazz & More Orchestra is a
traditional big band that will not disappoint!
Entry: $10, children 12 and under admitted free with adult entry. No pets or outside food or drinks permitted.
