Boat crashes into Lake of the Ozarks home, injuring 8 people aboard

Eight people have been injured in the boat crash on Saturday night at the Lake of the Ozarks. 

Their injuries range from moderate to serious. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the boat ran aground and struck a home – causing the vessel to overturn – throwing all eight people aboard. 

The driver, a 46-year-old from the state of California, was arrested for boating while intoxicated. The home has extensive damage. 

The eight people injured are all from out of state.
