Joplin Health Dept. offering back-to-school immunizations

Don’t miss the bus on getting your child’s back-to-school vaccinations!

August 21 is the first day of school in Joplin and the Joplin City Health Department wants to help you be prepared!

For children living within Joplin city limits or are enrolled in a Joplin public or private school, the Joplin Health Department wants to offer that assistance.

They can provide immunizations for the uninsured or underinsured, and those with Medicaid. They also accept many area insurances.

Immunizations are given in the upper level of the Joplin City Health Department, 321 E. 4th Street. (Use the entrance on the west side of the building.)

Please bring the child’s immunization record to the appointment so the nurses can review it and make sure you receive the needed immunizations for a healthy start to the new school year.

Avoid the back-to-school rush! Call now to schedule your appointment at 417-623-6122, ext. 1266.
