Plane crash in Osage Beach leaves 2 young men dead
A plane crash in Osage Beach that killed two people and injured another is currently under investigation. According to police the small airplane departed from the Grand Glaize Airport on the afternoon of Thursday, July 13th.
Police received a call from someone saying they witnessed a plane in the air that looked like it was going to crash as it was heading in the direction of Margaritaville, Missouri.
Police responded to the call and located the wreckage in a golf course’s tree line near Route KK and U.S. 54.
54 year old Gary Vandiver of Richmond, Missouri was seriously injured and 19 year old Evan R. Vandiver of Richmond, Missouri, along with 22 year old Hayden M. Ritchart of Carrollton, Missouri were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Osage Beach Police Department, the Osage Beach Fire Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are among those investigating the crash.
