Boomtown Car, Truck, and Bike show in Webb City!
This Saturday, July 15th, local organization Crusin’ Main is hosting their third annual Boomtown Car, Truck, and Bike show. The event is being held at King Jack Park in Webb City and runs from 4 pm to 8 pm.
David Clevenger is the Co-Founder of Crusin’ Main and he told Newstalk KZRG, “There’s all kinds of vendors out there, they had a monster truck out there last year I believe it’s going to be back this year. Last year we had over 100 entries in the car show. We give away prizes, trophies. We got nine different classes including motorcycles and we actually started a new class this year: Jeeps!”
Clevenger noted that the family oriented event is used to raise money for a local non-profit with proceeds going to the Glenna Ledford Memorial Foundation which was started to help local kids in need.
“We help pay for sports if a kid can’t afford to pay for it, you know, for youth football, or little league, or soccer. This foundation was founded to help the local area kids that maybe don’t have the help that they need. We have gone for the last two years at the start of school and bought kids new shoes and socks for school so that their first day of school they have new shoes and new socks, maybe their parents can’t afford it.” Clevenger said of the non-profit.
The car show also features live music and fireworks.
The nine different classes people can enter in are:
- ’98 and Newer Cars
- ’98 and Newer Trucks
- ’73 to 97 Cars
- ’73 to 97 Trucks
- ’72 and Older Cars
