City Council Work Session slated for Monday evening
The Joplin City Council will hold a work session Monday evening.
Members will be discussing Industrial Park Land and the spending plan for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds the city has received.
City officials say it’s important to get the ARPA funds allocated because some federal legislators have expressed interest in recapturing funds that are not contracted out.
Three projects under consideration are the Dover Outdoor Recreation Area; a Broadband Fiber Backbone Network and; a project to widen 20th Street from Schifferdecker to Central City.
The meeting gets underway at 5:45 Monday night in City Hall at 602 S. Main Street.
