Kansas City, Missouri man drowns at Lake of the Ozarks

A man from Kansas City, Missouri drowned late Sunday morning at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 56-year-old James Roy went under and failed to come back up near Bollinger Creek Cove near the 43 mile marker of the main channel of the Lake.

The drowning took place around 11 a.m.

Roy was pronounced deceased at Mimosa Beach by the Camden County Medical Examiner.
