Barry County accident injures six
Those hurt include two babies and a 1-year-old
A crash around 3:20 Saturday afternoon on Farm Road 1040 about three miles west of Monett in Barry County resulted in injuries to six people.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened when an eastbound vehicle driven by 19-year-old Brooke D. Yahner of Pierce City pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by 22-year-old Cruz M. Charles-Johnson of Monett.
Both drivers were injured along with three passengers in Yahner’s car, 18-year-old Caylah Meredith of Monett and two infants under age one from Pierce City.
In Charles-Johnson’s vehicle, a one-year-old girl from Monett was injured.
All of those hurt had moderate injuries.
All either were taken to – or sought treatment at – Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
