One-car accident in Lawrence County takes life of woman from Aurora

A one-car accident in Lawrence County has taken the life of a woman from Aurora.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 38-year-old Pamela S. White was driving on M-174 four miles aast of Mt. Vernon around 9:30 Saturday morning when her car traveled off the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.

The Patrol says she was not wearing a safety device.

She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin.

It was SW MO Troop D’s 55th traffic fatality so far in 2023.
