Two from Carthage injured in early morning accident

Two residents of Carthage were injured after the westbound car in which they were traveling crashed off the right side of I-44 near Halltown and overturned.

The accident took place at 2:25 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the driver, 30-year-old Leslie Lopez Ordonez and her passenger, 24-year-old Tevalan Hernandez, were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

They both suffered moderate injuries.
