A deer is being blamed for an injury accident on I-44 about a mile east of Joplin Sunday night at the 15.8 mile marker.
39-year-old Lin Lin from Pennsylvania hit a deer in the eastbound lane of the Interstate around 9:20 p.m. His car came to a stop in the left lane.
It was then hit from the rear by a car driven by 22-year old Kylee M. Morris of Carthage.
Morris was seriously injured.
A one-year-old passenger in her car had minor injuries.
Lin suffered moderate injuries.
They were transported to Joplin hospitals for treatment.
