28-year-old Tulsan sentenced to life for grooming teenage girl

28-year-old Tulsa resident Alexander Sweet has been sentenced to life in prison for grooming a girl between the age of 15 and 17 and having explicit images and video of her.

Federal officials say Sweet had bragged about dating underage girls on multiple social media platforms.

They say Sweet initially made contact with the girl who was then just15 after she said in an online posting she had lost two people she cared about within a month and felt very alone.

The case was tried in Federal Court in the Northern District of Oklahoma.

The FBI and the Tulsa Police Department were the investigative agencies.
