Legal quorum scheduled over suspension of Sarcoxie police chief

The Sarcoxie, Missouri, city council plans to meet this week to review the police chief’s appeal after she was suspended without pay by the town’s mayor.

Back on April 21st, Mayor Don Triplett asked Chief Brandy Corum to resign, citing her handling of an April 15th Amber Alert and search for the missing child.

In a letter to citizens, Mayor Triplett also cites Corum’s “willful disobedience and disrespect toward him.”

Corum refused to resign, thus the reason for the legal quorum, which will take place either Wednesday or Thursday.
