One man dies in officer-involved shooting in Ozark

One man is dead and a woman is seriously injured following a fatal deputy-involved shooting that occurred Friday afternoon on the Ozark, Mo. square. 

The shooting reportedly happened around 4 p.m. following a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.

A deputy from inside the Christian County Courthouse reportedly ran out and shot the man after the man fired shots toward the deputy.

Both the man and the woman were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The man later died at the hospital, and the deputy was not injured.

Police say there was a child involved in the incident.

That child is now in protective custody.
