JRCF presents $25,178 in grants to 10 area nonprofits

Joplin, MO – The Joplin Regional Community Foundation announced a total of $25,178 in grants to 10 nonprofits through its latest community grant round held last Wednesday (04/05).
The grants, supported by the the Duane and Edith Lawellin Legacy Fund and the Cloyd Carlin Charitable Fund, were presented during an event at the Joplin Chamber of Commerce.
The 2023 grant recipients are:
- The Alliance of SWMO: $2,500 to support the Drug Endangered Children program
- Bright Futures Joplin: $3,000 to support the Snack Pack Program
- Community Clinic of SWMO: $2,500 to support the Dispensary/Onsite Lab
- Crosslines: $1,678 to support hygiene kits for children
- FosterAdopt Connect: $3,000 to support rent, utilities and food
- Joplin Roadrunners: $1,500 to support the Kids Classic Fun Run
- Missouri State Southern University: $3,000 to support the Groceries to Graduates program
- One Joplin: $1,500 to support Healthy Kid Swim Passes program
- Pro Musica: $2,500 to support Performance School events
- Rapha International: $4,000 to support the Trauma Therapy Training program
Following an application process, the recipients were selected by a volunteer committee of citizens in the foundation’s service area. The program is open each year to 501(c)3 nonprofits and agencies with similar tax-exempt status like schools, government entities and faith-based organizations.
Gifts to the Duane and Edith Lawellin Legacy Fund for Southwest Missouri and the Cloyd Carlin Charitable Fund help increase the amount available for future rounds of the JRCF’s community grantmaking program.
