Crowder College announces Vice President of Academic Affairs
Neosho, MO – Andrew Nwanne has been named Vice President of Academic Affairs at Crowder College.
He will begin his new position on June 16.
Nwanne was selected as one of three finalists who interviewed on campus with various employee groups. His experience with community colleges and Higher Learning Commission should bring a wealth of knowledge to the college.
“We are thrilled Nwanne is joining the Crowder College family,” stated Crowder President, Katricia Pierson. “His breadth of knowledge and depth of experience at community colleges will be an asset to Crowder. We look forward to the advancements we know will come with his leadership of academic affairs.”
“I am honored to join Crowder College,” said Nwanne. “I look forward to working with faculty and staff in their continuing services to students and stakeholders.”
The selection committee, represented by senior faculty member Latonia Bailey, commented, “”Dr. Nwanne was chosen among the 20-plus candidates resulting from a nation-wide search due to his vast experience in accreditation, enrollment growth, and higher education leadership at community colleges,” said Bailey. “His credentials will help guide Crowder’s future and help us to meet the needs of students moving forward.”
Chett Daniel has filled the position on an interim basis. He will transition to the position of Associate Vice President of Workforce and Innovations.
