MO Senate committee fails to pass anti-red flag law bill
An anti-red flag bill has died today in a Missouri Senate committee.
The bill would have prevented guns being taken away from anyone as a result of a court order or federal protection order.
The Missouri Senate General Laws Committee voted 3-3 today, with Republican Lincoln Hough, of Springfield, joining Democrats and voting against the plan.
Hough says voting on the bill is “disheartening”, given a deadly Nashville school shooting on Monday.
Bill sponsor, State Senator Bill Eigel says today is a “dark day” for Second Amendment supporters.
